Boyd Ramsey lectures at Educate the Educators – Chennai, India

On February 5th and 6th 2018, Boyd Ramsey lectured as a part of the IGS India Chapter Educate the Educators program. The program was held on the IIT Madras campus in Chennai, India and attended by over 40 professors and instructors in the India university system. This program included participant presentations, distribution of books of geosynthetic samples and instructional materials for both the IGS 50-minute introductory lecture and other classwork content for more advanced presentations. This is the ninth in a series of programs designed to expand geosynthetic education with a stated goal of having an introduction to geosynthetics included as a component of every undergraduate civil engineering program worldwide. Boyd has lead the IGS in the development and execution of this program over the years, leading the July 2015 program in Austin, Texas USA and supporting and lecturing at Educate the Educator programs in China, the Philippines, and now, India.
